Blue Sky Dental Lab collaborated with an Australian dentist on a full upper implant restoration case. The workflow moved from digital wax-up and treatment-plan confirmation to an immediate temporary bridge on the surgery day, followed by a permanent Malo bridge with a metal underside. The case was planned around the treating dentist’s surgical schedule and clinical requirements.

Digital Planning Before Surgery

On July 11, the team prepared the wax-up while the dentist and patient confirmed the treatment plan. The dentist supplied pre-operative scans and intraoral photographs. On July 12, the implant system was confirmed and the required digital library was prepared. Screw requirements and the related library were reconfirmed before the scheduled surgery.

Immediate Temporary Bridge

On July 17, implant surgery, immediate temporary bridge design, printing and installation were coordinated for the same day. The temporary bridge was placed within four hours of the surgical procedure. Feedback on the surgical result was received on July 18, while photographs were taken after the patient had recovered from the initial procedure.

Permanent Restoration Stage

The permanent bridge stage began on October 20. The design was reviewed and refined, then photographs were shared for confirmation before shipping. On November 17, the permanent Malo bridge with a metal underside was fitted. The documented workflow used four patient visits: pre-operative scanning, surgery-day treatment, permanent-restoration scan preparation and permanent bridge placement.
